A professional tennis net for official competitions

This tennis net complies with all current standards for use in competitions organised by the French Tennis Federation.

The official texts state that a net complies with the standards when:

  • It is approximately 12.70 metres long
  • The height must be between 0.99 and 1.104 metres
  • It’s flexible to absorb the bounce of the ball on impact, so as not to interfere with the game or the players
  • It is fully tensioned so as to completely cover the space between the posts, which must be 1.07m high

And other standards can be found on the official website of the French Tennis Federation.

Polypropylene tennis net for a more fluid effect

The main difference between polypropylene and high-density polyethylene is the impact of the ball on the net.

High-density polyethylene, also known as HDPE, is stiffer and less fluid when absorbing shocks.

Polypropylene tennis nets, also known as PPM, are softer and feel more fluid when the ball hits them.

This detail makes all the difference if you want to feel like you’re playing a professional match!

Top-quality finishes

Our tennis net for official competitions offers all the finishing touches needed for easy installation, a solid hold and a match played according to the rules:

  • Its 80 mm wide white top band on each side of the height complies with current regulations.
  • The black polyester strips on the other 3 sides (left – bottom – right) improve the overall quality of the net during installation. These sides could be ralinged (sewing a rope around the periphery of the net), but the highest quality finish remains these strips, which you can see in the photos of our product.
  • Finally, a 4/6 mm galvanised steel tension cable has been added so that the necessary tension can easily be applied during installation.

Put all these details together and you get a net worthy of being used at Roland Garros, Wimbledon or Flushing Meadows.

A tennis net with an excellent lifespan

During the manufacture of the material, a UV-treatment is added to the mass of the net. It is thanks to this treatment that the life of Maille Store tennis net is improved.

This is a long-lasting treatment using the 320 KLY Ciba-Ceigy process.

The bonus of our net? Promise, the ball will always land on the right side!
